United House Wrecking Craft & Story Time

Ok so I know there's an ulterior motive behind United House Wrecking's kids' crafts and story time (more uninterupted shopping time for Mom and Dad), but I still think it's a pretty nice idea. Last I checked, the mall wasn't offering to watch my kid while I shopped. United House Wrecking bills itself as Connecticut's largest source for antiques and home decor and they aren't kidding. The place is vast and full of quirky furniture (both new and antique), Oriental rugs, stained glass windows, lighting and at this time of year they carry a lot of gifty-type items (board games, lotions/potions, etc.) It's easy to lose time in there and with all the fragile, one-of-a-kind items, it's not exactly the kind of place where you'd want junior running around.

Every Saturday from 10am-4pm and Sunday from noon-4pm between now and Christmas, children between the ages of 4-11 can enjoy some stories and a craft to take home while you do some holiday shopping.
