Firefly After Hours Pediatrics

As an ailment and accident-prone kid, I spent way too much time in the emergency room. Of course, most of the incidents happened on nights and/or weekends when the pediatrician's office was closed. I recall long waits in the ER and stonefaced doctors rushing me out the door once I finally saw them. Hopefully, my daughter won't take after me in this department, but just in case, I'm happy to have Firefly After Hours Pediatrics a short drive away.

In their words, Firefly After Hours Pediatrics is "an office based after hours urgent care practice specifically created to treat children, adolescents and young adults in the evenings, weekends and on holidays." I recently attended an open house event there and I was so impressed not only with the cheerful, spotless facility, but also with all the doctors and nurses I met, especially co-founder Dr. Harry Romanowitz. He was my husband's pediatrician and he's sort of a rock star among area parents. Through this experience in a private practice and then as chair of pediatrics and pediatrician-in-chief at Stamford Hospital for more than 20 years, he's gained the reputation for being the best and most compassionate pediatrician around. Apparently parents just can't get enough of him.

Visit www.fireflypediatrics.com to learn why Firefly After Hours Pediatrics is a great alternative to the ER when the pediatrician's office is closed on nights, weekends and holidays. It's never fun to make an emergency trip with the kids - but Firefly makes it so much better. I've had to go on two different occasions and both times I was so impressed with the staff...and our wait time was under 20 minutes - almost unheard of in most doctor's offices and especially emergency rooms.
