Me if my husband hears about this one: "No, honey, we can't cancel our weekend getaway plans because of the all you can eat waffle brunch at the Bartlett." So, shhhhhhh...
I know it's last minute but these famous waffles from Wafels & Dinges sound delish. The scavenger hunt doesn't sound so bad either. Sounds like a fun event if you've got older kids who eat a ton and like being outside. I just got an email with the details and here they are:
Outdoor Brunch and Scavenger Hunt at the Bartlett
Saturday, November 22 · 10:30am-12:30pm
Bundle up for an outdoor adventure!
Our Waffle Brunch is being provided by NYC's famous Belgian Wafel (Waffle) Man.
Check out what they're saying...
Newsday - "...the crispiest, airiest, most moist and delectable waffles this side of the Atlantic."
Serious Eats - "Best Belgian Wafel (Waffle) Maker in NYC"
Enjoy all you can eat delicious Belgian waffles with strawberries, whipped cream, dulce de leche, maple syrup and belgian chocolate fudge on our terrace at the Visitor Center.
Warm up with some hot chocolate or coffee.
Children and families will be able to pick up a Bartlett Backpack and set out on a scavenger hunt. Groups can head to our greenhouse and Mehlquist Garden, down the hillside to the pond, or the serious adventurer can even take a hike out to our Red Maple Wetland.
