The Tiny Miracles Foundation Seeks Executive Director

I know that many of you hold the Tiny Miracles Foundation close to your hearts. I received this announcement from a board member, so I thought I'd pass it on...

The Tiny Miracles Foundation (TTMF), a pioneering local nonprofit organization that provides comprehensive support and assistance programs to families of premature infants in the greater Fairfield County, Connecticut area, seeks applications and nominations for the position of Executive Director. The Tiny Miracles Foundation provides vital support services to families facing the crisis of premature birth through programs and services at three Fairfield County hospitals, as well as to the preemie community at large through its office in Darien, Connecticut. TTMF’s in-hospital programs include welcome and homecare supply program, parent mentoring, parent support groups, parent resource rooms, nutritional support, emergency financial and equipment assistance, and grants to hospitals for staff training and equipment. TTMF also provides a comprehensive website, an extensive parent support network, a bereavement support network, and professional and resource referrals outside of the hospitals. All of its programs and materials are available in English and Spanish.

TTMF seeks a dynamic and experienced leader to serve as the organization’s first Executive Director who can ensure that the Foundation remains vital and relevant for the years to come. S/he will be responsible for the organization’s consistent achievement of its mission and implementation of its strategic goals, annual goals and agency policies along with the Board of Directors. The Director will also handle the financial, program, volunteer and administrative management of the organization. S/he will have a proven track record in donor cultivation, grant writing, new revenue generation, and donor relations. S/he will have the initiative and ability to connect and network with the Fairfield County community and corporate foundations, other non-profit organizations and individual donors, as well as the ability to work with and communicate effectively with hospital administrators and staff and TTMF Board members and volunteers. S/he must be able to relate to and have the ability to communicate compassionately with families in crisis, as well as share a passion for helping such families in need. S/he will have a strong history of successfully taking organizations to the next level of sustained philanthropic support while also overseeing program and administrative needs within the mission of the organization. The new Executive Director will have the option to work a flexible schedule.
