Authors of The Nanny Diaries to Speak in Greenwich on May 21 and Announce Teen Creative Writing Contest Winners (contest deadline May 18)

Why this event on Thursday, May 21 is Greenwich is cool for you: You'll get to hear Emma McLaughlin and Nicola Kraus (above), authors of the best-selling book The Nanny Diaries, dish about their writing process and how they've become so successful.

Why this event on May 21 is cool for your teenaged kids: Your kids will have the opportunity to ask these two youngish authors questions about creative writing. What better way to motivate an aspiring author than to have access to two real-life ones? McLaughlin and Kraus are about to release their first book for teens, The Real Real, so they'll be reading from it this evening as well. Plus, two local students (one middle school and one high school) will be announced as winners of a creative writing contest sponsored by Greenwich Education & Prep. The deadline for the contest is May 18, so hurry and check out the details. Winners will receive a $75 gift certificate to Diane's Books in Greenwich.

All the contest rules and event details can be found on the Greenwich Education & Prep blog at www.greenwichedprep.com/blog (and there are a lot of them so read carefully!). Please RSVP by emailing rsvp@greenwichedprep.com by May 19.
