Crumbs Update: New Store Opening Tomorrow in Stamford. Free Cupcakes for First 1,000 Visitors!

If you're friends with any of these lucky ladies, now might be a good time to hit them up for a cupcake, because they each scored 6 free ones in the FairfieldCountyChild.com/Crumbs cupcake giveaway and we all know how important it is to share, right? Congratulations to:

Mary Farrell (Greenwich)
Laura Kletter (Darien)
Elizabeth McCarthy (Bridgeport)
Bridget Moran (Darien)
Baccara Nix (New Canaan)

Your gift certificates are mailing today. Thanks to everyone who entered. I had almost 60 responses! And I would've had more but I learned from two of my friends (N & D you know who you are!!) that sometimes you feel funny entering contest after contest, especially if you're a friend of mine. That's just plain ridiculous. These are equal opportunity giveaways.

If you didn't win, just head to the Crumbs Bakeshop opening on 1067 High Ridge Road (in the High Ridge Road shopping center in Stamford) tomorrow (Thursday, October 30). Doors open at 8am and the first 1,000 visitors will take home a free cupcake. Sweet, right?

Also, Crumbs has launched a special cupcake in honor of Gary Dell'Abate (Baba Booey), the producer of The Howard Stern Show. Gary will be in-store on Saturday, November 1 from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. to introduce the new cupcake for the very first time. All proceeds from the “BaBa Booey” cupcake will go to LIFEbeat (The Music Industry Fights AIDS).

Baba Booey Cupcake:
Chocolate cake filled with peanut butter cream cheese
Covered with ½ chocolate cream cheese and ½ peanut butter cream cheese (frosted like a B&W cookie)
Surrounded by mini peanut butter chips

(WTF? Peanut butter cream cheese?! That's just plain mean. I can feel my ass getting fatter as I write this.)
