My friends at the Stamford Museum and Nature Center reminded me that this Sunday, October 19 is their Harvest Spooktackular. Kids who come in costume will get a special prize, plus there's a haunted hayride, a trip through the Boo Barn, a pumpkin patch, face painting and a haybale maze. For all the details, visit www.stamfordmuseum.org.
Plus, two of my friends have suggested I post about this event, so here goes. I've never attended in the past, but with apple pie eating contests, story time, pony rides, hayrides, arts, crafts and a haunted hiking trail, the 39th Annual New Canaan Nature Center's Fall Fair does sound like a good time. It's this Saturday, October 18th. Rain or shine. Suggested donation is $20/family. Click here for details.
If you're all pumpkined out, swing by the Darien Sport Shop tomorrow between 11am - 3pm. American Girl dolls and their proud owners are invited to a free photo shoot and American Girl Pre-Halloween party on Saturday, October 18, from 11 am until 3pm. Live American Girl models will be on hand with their coordinating dolls and Halloween outfits to pose with attendees for free photos courtesy of Jack Dog Studios in Stamford. This event is the preface for the annual CancerCare of Connecticut. American Girl fashion show to be held this year for the first time at the Darien Community Center on Saturday, November 8th.
Finally, the Green Living Fair is tomorrow in Stamford. Click here for details.
