GIVEAWAY! Win a New Type of Baby Book, Created By a Norwalk Mom

I'm especially psyched about this giveaway because I'm guessing many of you can relate to this: I have a baby book for my daughter to record the facts (first word, when she rolled over, crawled, walked, etc) and a journal to record memorable moments (trips, stories, funny anecdotes about her life), plus photo albums galore. I'd be lying if I said any of these were up to date. The new mom enthusiasm for recording all that somehow waned and now she's approaching age 3 and I'm wishing I had made the time to keep them all updated.

Baby #2 is coming in November and now I have no excuse for keeping memories of this one's life organized and up-to-date. I recently received a sample copy of My Life: A Chronicle of the Journey and it looks like this book will replace the separate baby book, journal and photo albums. It's a special baby book that makes it easy to record the facts and all the memories in one central place. The creator, Jennifer Covello, is a Norwalk mom of two. She walks you through each stage of child's life through age 5 and prompts you to record the facts, but also the little milestones and events that sometimes are forgotten. There's space for photos in the archival quality book, as well as pages for other family members (grandparents, aunts, uncles, etc) to record their special memories with your child.

You can place an order for the book at www.frittabello.com. I'm loving it because it's timeless, gender neutral and not too cutesy. I'm planning to keep several on hand for last minute baby and shower gifts. And you should too! To win a copy for yourself  or a friend, just follow these rules:

GIVEAWAY RULES
  • Leave a comment below by answering the following question: Are you one of those moms with beautiful scrapbooks recording every phase of your child's life? Or are you like me - scattered, disorganized and incapable of keeping up with it all?
  • Be sure to leave your first name and town (see sample below) by Sunday, July 19 at midnight.
  • Check back here on Monday, July 20 to see if you won! Good luck.

I have a lovely baby book, loads of wonderful pictures, and frames galore... but haven't even printed a photo of my 2-year-old in over a year, let alone actually put one into a book. *sigh* I am woefully out of date here!

Beyond keeping our digital photos organized, it's a disaster!

I am the worst mom scrapbooker/baby book keeper in the world. I started before she was born. Now, all I have is a half-completed online blog, a huge box full of all the pictures and keepsakes I want to put in the baby book, and many e-mails to family with memorable words, sayings, and pictures. I keep thinking - maybe someday. I would love to have this new Journal - perhaps it would help me stay on top of things." - Lisa Kotasek - Stamford, CT

I have two little girls 11 months apart, for the first one I was so on top of things until I was really pregnant with the second, so I have shoe boxes filled with keepsakes, recently I just started scrap-booking the photos online. Sally Yomtov Stamford CT

I have a mostly complete baby book for my 6-year-old and have managed to get one started for my 6-month-old. I like the idea of "My Life." - Susan, Stamford

I did a decent job with recording my first's precious moments - one in baby book and one in a pre-made scrap book (phew - I NEVER could have done my own!) My goal was to have them updated by her first birthday and I somehow did it. Now onto baby #2 - I don't want this one to feel neglected! - Jessica-Stamford

I was really good chronicling the first one; then the second one came and neither has a scrapbook of anything past 2002!

I so WANT to be creative and scrap-booky, but we're lucky if we just get out the door some days. But I love her more than life and living her life to the fullest is our #1 goal. I'll just have to devote some speck of brain space to memory so we have a milestone or two to tell stories about!

It was rather interesting for me to read that article. Thank you for it. I like such themes and anything that is connected to them. I definitely want to read more soon.
