Recycled Art Workshop at Whole Foods
Thurs., Sept. 9 from 4 - 5 pm (ages 3 & up)
Join Green Moon at Whole Foods tomorrow to learn how to make art out of wood salvage. The project is a celebration of artist Louise Nevelson, who used wooden found objects like chair backs, table legs, cylinders, racket heads, pieces of baseball bats and guitars in her artwork. Louise who? Thanks Wikipedia!! Click here to learn more about this fascinating woman's work ... and see a piece of it above.
The wood savage will be in pieces like brush handles, wheels, beads, honey dippers, and geometric shapes. Contact Whole Foods at (203) 662-0577 to register. Cost: $10/per child.
