Thanks to my friends at Southern Yankee and Mary Grace Designs for alerting me to this crisis in the world of handmade goods. If you value unique handmade items for children like I do, you'll be interested in this new legislation that's on the table in Washington. It could put thousands of artisans and crafters out of business and in this economic climate, that's pretty scary, no? I can name several businesses right here in Fairfield County who would have to pack up their sewing machines for good. Enough, already!
