Organized Playgroups, LLC*

Organized Playgroups, LLC is an innovative new at-home playgroup program designed for children from 18 to 36 months, currently operating in the towns of Darien, Greenwich, Rowayton, and New Canaan (but the service is available in any town). Playgroups are run by trained early childhood educators at your home, on a rotating basis with other families in the playgroup. The mission is to provide children with a play-based positive experience that will develop their cognitive, physical, social and creative skills. All team members are CPR certified with education backgrounds.

The founder, Veronica Ponce, holds an Associates Degree in Early Childhood Education from Norwalk Community College, a baccalaureate in Human Development and Family Studies from the University of Connecticut and a master's degree in Early Childhood Regular and Special Education at the Bank Street College of Education in New York City.

We met for coffee last week and I found her to be kind, super smart and energetic -and she's a mini celebrity in these parts of the world. I think she knew everyone in Starbucks! I guess that's what happens when you work with over 50 area families. Plus you might recognize Veronica from her other job at the Darien Public Library's Children's Department.

Be sure to check out Organized Playgroups' Summer Program. Registration has begun and spaces are filling up fast!
